A couple months I posted that they were working on a spin off series featuring Captain Pike, It will be a long while before see this on screen no news on how many Eps will feature in the first series.

More news the reason for the series was because of huge demand for the spin off from the fans, CBS heard and listened and rest is history. The show will take place 10 years before Kirk.

Think what also helps are Mount, Romijn and Peck look so into doing it as well, the chemistry look good. Mount was easily the best about Discovery season 2, he's already made Pike his own.

Jonathan Frakes has confirmed he’ll be directing Eps of the show.

Got some news on the new show, there going back to the old style of Star Trek where it will be stand alone Eps and focusing on alien of the week.

Well this will satisfy the purists, maybe now they will shut up about Discovery or Picard, although it is more likely they will find something else to moan about and at best come out with "this is so much better than Discovery and Picard"
