Just curious how everyone's lockdown is going.

It's not a very scientific poll, but just a few options to get you started.
It's not too bad. I'm thinking of cleaning the oven this afternoon.
I'm running out of things to do, places to clean.
I'll be going through my sock drawer next to find all those unpaired ones. Big Grin
I am a key worker so in the sense I still go to work each day life has not changed although the nature of my role is changing to meet public need.
I have to use the buses to get to work and they run a little less frequently but that is not really a major issue apart from trying to maintain social distancing which is difficult on a bus even now.

Being at home a lot is easy for me to be honest. I like my own company. That is not to say I didn't enjoy socialising before because I did but I like having my own space by virtue of living on my own.
No live sport on the telly is rather annoying but to be honest that is hardly terribly important given the circumstances.

Gives me a chance to write more poetry, play games on line, listen to a lot of interesting podcasts on the radio and have more wanks over Ashley Emma Big GrinlaughTongue.

It is absolutely fine for me really. Can't complain.

The spare socks make very good muslin bag replacements for boiling onion puddings.

Do you work for Timpson's snookered? I think it's great the way they take on ex prisoners that no other company would touch with a bargepole.

I'd love to see your Ashley poems as well, let's see if you can match this clerihew.

Ashley Emma
is in the horns of a lunchtime sandwich dilemma
Smoked salmon on pumpernickel
or mature cheddar on wholemeal with pickle.
I was born in isolation, molded by it. I didn't see the outside until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding light
nothing's really changed for me. going outside is easier.
One thing? The conformation for me is that, with the obvious basic comforts around me, I can live with my own company and space. It's a benefit to have at this time.

From the safety of that comes the thought that, as has been acknowledge quite widely, this isolation and threat has been good for giving an associated sense of perspective. Not sure that will last if we can fuck this thing off for good, and it might be a little cold comfort for those this has touched too closely by the virus, but it could leave something positive in its wake. It'll be up to people how they capitalise on that in the same way it's up to people how they deal with their social responsibilities now.

Liberty with compassion, not judgement or moralising, should be forefronted as we emerge from this. (It's about what we value when it's threaterned as being taken away from us.) Authority must continue to lead on that. The public should demand it remains as a legacy. As with everything, there's a generally positive outcome and then there's striving for the best one possible.

EDIT to add: Some of my job has been split into shifts so atm I'm scheduled to work one out of every three weeks. In a way I think that'll help mentally.
Snookered not a Timpsons employee but still a key worker
At home wanking over Ashley Emma the supreme ass twerker

Ashley is the source of all my desire
The body beautiful to light my fire

I'm often at the back of the bus watching her on my phone
Deploying social distancing for reasons of my own WinkTongue

She was nude in the shower on my last viewing
Subtle foaming at the mouth was much ensuing

Panic buyers have prevented my purchase of smoked salmon or pickle
Although I would still prefer an Ashley strip and tickle

Oh bugger I can feel a trousers tremor
It must be the fault of Ashley Emma!!
