England begin their tour of South Africa on Tuesday with a match against a South Africs invitational 11.

The tour features a 4 match test series beginning on Boxing Day followed by 3 ODIs and 3 T20 internationals.
Is the party the same as the one in NZ?
So 4 tests v SA 2 against NZ (and no 'world championship context!) And they said that putting all the power in three nations hands (inc Eng) wouldn't lead to them arranging tours to suit themselves??

Should be a good series - just SA for me, but really - what point??
1st test has started today from Centurion.
SA are currently 58-2 after England won the toss and chose to bowl
Jimmy Anderson wins his 150th cap for England first specialist bowler to do
England are fielding an all-seam attack for the 2nd test match in succession. The last time this happened was 2001.

Bairstow, Buttler and Anderson have all been restored to the team
It was a promising start to the series for England, bowling South Africa out for 284. But in reply England's batsmen are struggling, as we see all too often.
England have conceded a first innings deficit of 103, after being bowled out for a mere 181, although to be fair the pitch wasn't he best for batting and had just enough variation and bounce to make the batsman uncertain throughout the innings.
Jofra Archer was cleared to play day three but will be heavily scrutinised following bowling successive full tosses at the night watchmen. The square leg umpire called the second a no ball but umpire did not. Match referee has spoken to joe Root about it. SA batsman Philander wanted Archer removed from the bowling line up following the incident.
What is going on with the batting? Been like this for the last few years, something needs to change.
Who is the batting coach?
