I considered that but I think that the demographics have changed.

1. We watch at all times of the day even on the phone. At work, on the bus. Some guy got chucked out of a library for watching!!
2. Winners ought to be capable at any hour, the daytime babe can pick up fans when she's on at night.
3. So many do any kind of show at any hour. Definitions.

True,& I would hate to see that. Daytime babes have become increasingly marginalized. I think we have loss some quality babes over the last 5 or 6 years, ones that have been less comfortable with providing stronger adult content shows.

1 - Yes we can - does not mean we do
2 - Many Daytime babes are simply not on at night through personal choice. I suggest you give Charlie C, Hannah C or Danni Levy a call and tell them that they need to do nights to be of any value in votes. They are excellent daytime performers and ther are many others.
3 - As per 2

Ofcom distinguish between the shows and most of us are capable of doing so as well. If you can't be bothered with dayshows then by all means don't vote for them.

I will repeat the daytime girl skillset still differs from nights as they have to hold conversations on the phone without it just being tits, arse and vibratoy with grunts thrown in on top

What are you basing that on? The time it takes to type a girls name?

It can take a good 10mins or more just to compile one nominations list. And even then you leave it on draft for a couple of days, in case you've forgotten someone.

Then you get to the 'group' stages and find two of your favourites in the same group, so you spend another 10mins agonising over that, followed by randomly picking some names from the other groups you have no real interest in.

Having negotiated all that, you then find your favourite paired with a a babe you know is going to be more popular, so the whole exercise has been a waste of time Rolleyes

I'll say it again, vote once, count up the votes, declare the winner. Do that and there'd be room for as many comps as you want, including the 'bit of fun' ones after the new year.
If it's good enough to elect a government...
I think we should take 12 months to vote, we should nominate everyone but award no-one, we should recognise that awards are a small straw in the wind for this sad vale of tears we call life.

First past the post eh? Wink
How about an electoral college system based on regions in which we all live laugh
Proportional representation Tongue
Can we send in postal votes to a PO Box? Big Laugh

I'll get my coat Rolleyes Bounce
Following the conclusion of the 2020 Day Babes Award and 2020 Night Babes Award yesterday I'm commenting here about them to see what we can learn for the benefit of running future competitions.

In the process I'm replying to two comments in that thread

The videos told us that the UK Adult Awards 2020 were 'in association with UK Babe Channels' Whilst this forum Heart wasn't mentioned specifically, the voting happened here.
On the 21st of September Admin Cool set the scene by reminding us that awards had been won since 2005 but that the babe channels only got a look in these last two years.
In past years a dozen or more awards were won but because of the virus eek this year only a few were possible including those of the babe's.
A week or two later we learned that the industry people involved were in fact different Shy from last year's but that fortunately there were no complications.
Nominations and voting followed without a hitch and then there was a pause. After a few days we were told the day and there was some uncertainty about when, where and how. Then suddenly two AMAZINGLY professional videos appeared!!!
To me rather than being organised for dramatic purposes this is the work of two individuals trying to work together on something in their spare time where their only connection is through social media, emails, dm's on Whatsapp and all the improvements that we have in comparison to the bad old days when something was organised on the 'phone or over a pint. And lockdown didn't help.

We might ask whether it was worth it given that we run internal polls so well and that brings us to the second comment.

OK so the word is deflated. A very good choice.
Up until this afternoon five reactions have been posted where babe's have commented on their social media, so far I've seen no mention of those awards in the Adult Awards twitter.
There's some apathy, we see that in the channels, we see it with the babe's. It's not a respected job.
Another point is that some of our babes don't like 'The Forum' at all. Trawl back through our pages and you can read about it. They don't like that we post their pictures or moan about their work which is one reason why so many have set up their own little club where they can control everything.
Those that responded were mostly new girls.
However there are two AMAZINGLY professional videos with a set of terrific nominations and a countdown worthy of the fight for a Christmas number one and the forum Heart did it. It's been the only game in town and next year when UKAP or The Adult Awards are all fired up booking a swanky venue and going all media I'd think that they will remember what we've done for them in lockdown and won't go looking for a different forum or group to do their voting but will want us again and the response will be larger irrespective of the opinions of some of the older babes.

So that's why I think that all that Whatsapping and tooing and froing IS worthwhile even if it appeared a bit iffy for reasons beyond our control a couple of times and that awards should go external again next year.
I think and look back to when we first voted in the UKAP awards, I remember there were so many problems/comments as to how the awards were being run and the problem we had then, was the fact thet the clarification we was getting from one day to the next as how our votes were being recognised how much input we was having in ther final voting round, etc. Many of us questioned whether UKAP really knew what they were doing and how they perceived us. i woyuld go as far to say many of still probably still have questions over this year's competition but i would say, overall this years has been hit by the pandemic as more girls worked from home and i wonder if UKAP took that into account, but i will say that the girls seemed to show the pandaemic wasn't going to hit their performances in any way and have to say I'm sure many girls performed exceptionally well above our expectations.

i would say we should embrace the UKAP awards as the girls who work on the channels to entertain us get some sort of formal recgonition from the industry itself, but I am sure many of us still would like to see UKAP have more input on the forum with us at certain times and also show a willingness to listen to any ideas/comments we may have if there are ways to inprove the awards voting.

But you are right Chrisst this yeasr has certainly been different and i would like to say that as and when they are able to get to having something like a normal awards ceremony in future, i hope our input is fully recognised and I knowe they did offer us a table or something either last year or the year before, but i hope they will make sure our forum is much more fully recognised - in the association bit - and we are able to attend any awards show next year, and if so on a day when some of us can attend safely without having to worry about work commitments and stuff and logistics to location.
^^ In a similar vein, so far this year I think that Newcomer of the year had 50 votes in the final round, so just how seriously can you take these comps. Some strange voting this year at times it's baffled me. You are always going to attract a fair percentage of fanboys taking part who will blindly vote for their faves regardless of how good they performed or importantly how often. I've been guilty myself of not being entirely subjective.
