All tho one Game of Thrones series has been cancelled another one has taken its place it will be based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood book. It will be set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and will tell the epic story of the monumental rise and tragic fall of the legendary House Targaryen.
The show will air on HBO and been given a 10 Eps run.
I'm cautiously excited about this upcoming prequel and I really hope they can match the impact, the characters (where do I start with that! - just brilliant) and story telling (minus the disappointing finale) of Game Of Thrones
These are some recent images on set of House Of The Dragon - not much to go by but The Targaryen House seems to be the point of focus atm going by these images: Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen and Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen
Its hard for me to care about this show knowing the shit way it all ends.... i would have rathered a show about young ned and robert conquering the seven kindoms
Have to say this looks to maintain GoT's high production values, funny how many other fantasy series can't quite match it.
It's just trying to get excited for this again after the major letdown in GoT's finishing run. HBO should have let Benioff & Weiss just fuck off if they wanted to, and let others continue it at a far less rushed pace.
