Here's an interesting thread to discuss so do Boxers get paid to much i kinda think they do like with all sports stars Football,Wrestling,Golf etc but there again a Boxer could get killed in the ring.
Top boxers are in better shape than anyone in any other sports throwing punches is extreme cardio and they are risking serious injury so i think boxers should be the highest paid sports people i mean i could run around a pitch kicking a ball easy but i dont think i could throw punches for 12 rounds

Also if by wrestling you mean wwe thats not a sport they are basically actors who do their own stunts

Still get paid for it tho don't they.

Also i forgot to mention MMA don't really know much about MMA how much they get paid and all that but in that sport they are risking their life to as well as Boxing and Kick Boxing basically all combat sports should be the highest paying sport for the reason i just give.
Boxing is a dangerous sport of course, but most of the time i watch boxing it just looks like two guys hugging each other, its the knockouts that make the sport look better than it is, if a WWE wrestler put a Boxer in a submission move they'd be tapping out like a bitch, they probably wouldn't even kick out of a suplex or a powerbomb

Goatman, the top boxers have like 3 fights a year so you'd expect them to be fit, don't tell me Andy Ruiz and Tyson Fury are fitter than footballers and Tennis Players who play every week for 10 months of the year, even WWE wrestlers are in action all year round and they get real injuries too

Joey are you being serious ? Kick out of a suplex or a powerbomb laugh You do realise it would be pretty much impossible to powerbomb somebody without them letting and helping you do it ? And what submission move are we talking a million dollar dream or maybe an anaconda vice ? They dont do anything its not real

And yes im telling you a champion boxer before a fight is in better physical condition than any other athlete

WWE is scripted but its still real in terms of wrestlers taking bumps, moves, submissions, chair shots etc, like i said on the WWE thread i doubt Fury's team are gonna let him take 5 powerslams, shoulder charges, chokeslams and get thrown around backstage by Strowman, cos boxers are super protected in WWE and Fury will be fucked up

How many footballers look like Ruiz and Fury? if Ronaldo puts on 10 stone his career is over

Taking bumps are real but they are taking bumps on a shock absorber thats why the ring bounces when they land on it and the submissions are not real they are not really trying to hurt eachother its pretend most of the submissions in wwe wouldnt hurt if you really was trying to hurt someone and the move can only be done with the other person's help if one of the guy just decided im not gonna jump for this suplex it would be quite hard to do it,
And if fury was allowed to take bumps he would be taught how to take them safely first and then he would be fine after 20 power slams,
And it doesnt matter what they look like they can go 12 round of throwing punches which is hard than running around a pitch an other thing to consider is fury is 18st when he fight which is nearly double the weight of the average footballer and footballer would not be able to throw punches for 12 rounds
Yeah like a Boxer wouldn't be able to run around a football pitch for 95 minutes everyweek and get hacked down, how can you compare two totally different sports?

Boxing and Rugby are overrated simply because people perceive them as "real men's" sports, but they are too stop start for me even though i do like Boxing to an extent, but i see rougher looking fights in WWE even though its "fake"
With physical sports like Boxing & MMA it takes a special kind of mindset & discipline to take on those kind of sports, but like so many other sports there has to be a quality aftercare system as well when a fighter retires. But when you see the likes of Nigel Benn making a come back at the age of 55 it is because he still has the hunger in him, don't forget that the fight with McClellan still haunts him.
That fight alone to me when I watched it at the time pretty much showed the brutal side of Boxing and seeing Ali as he was also showed the after effects of fighting for far too long. i think many boxers now sometimes know when they have had enough and finish but it's how you harness the desire inside you that can be a problem. You're a lucky boxer if your career lasts more than say six to ten years these days

I would say with MMA there is just as great a risk as you are not only fending off punches you are also fending off kicks to many parts of your body and also there is the ground and pound game. Several fighters died in the early days of UFC. In terms of pay scale I would say Boxers earn more than MMA or Thai boxers and stuff, but the risks that those kind of guys take are far greater than footballers even though football has the same risks that one serious injury can end a career. Then you come on to motor sports which I would say has to be the most high risk - taking sports arena in the world.
