Is there any way of ignoring or blocking people on this forum? I’ve looked in profiles but can’t see anything.

Go to your User CP, scroll to Miscellaneous and you'll see Buddy/Ignore List. Enter the username you'd like to ignore (exactly as displayed) into your Add Users to your Ignore List and then click Ignore User(s). The name should then appear in the box, if not, refresh the page.

Only problem is that even though you've blocked that person/s if someone copies their post you can still see what they posted AND if you've not signed in either. Another problem is it's only human nature to want to retaliate against some idiot who has a go at you as you would do in real life let alone cyberspace. That fuels the 'trolls' of this world and on any other place ignoring them would be a good move. Easy to say, hard, for some to do.

Well, it looks like I'm the first one to reply to this thread. I'm sure someone will be along to post an answer soon.

Damn! that whining noise is back again-just when I thought I had got rid of it

I only used my ignore option once, early on, back when we had some really nutty cunts, the weirdos we have now are alright

Why is this thread empty?

Can someone pm me a precis of what has been said so far?
