Help Needed

I am taking all these videos off of DVDs. That means that the files are .vob format.

I am currently having to use 2 separate apps to convert, cut and compress the files before I they are ready to upload.
1, (handbrake) - To convert from vob to mp4
2, (imovie) - To trim/edit the videos
3, (handbrake again) - To compress to a smaller file size.

imovie wont open .vob files, so i have to convert them first using handbrake, but handbrake doesnt any have edit functions. So, then I have to edit the vids in imovie, but then saving in imovie makes the file sizes very large (2GB for 1 hour), So, I then have to run them through handbrake again to compress them to a smaller file size.

If anyone knows of an app that will do all of this in one, for free, please let me know.
I am using a macbook.
