An icon from a time when the WWF was so much more enjoyable than it is now.He brought a real gravitas to the interviews he conducted in the first boom period.RIP

Bloody hell, I only just watched that Andre doc, he was one of the better contributors to it.
Always gave the impression he was competent, level-headed and on good terms with reality, unlike a lot of the guys in wrestling.
RIP

The voice of wrestling in the 80's, loved his interviews with the iron sheik, gene mean. You could see both of them struggling to stay in character for a lot of them.

One of the most recognizable voices in all of WWE who was given the nickname of "Mean Gene" by Jesse 'The Body' Ventura in the early 80's & shared fantastic camaraderie in the 80's & 90's with legends likes of Hulk Hogan,Randy Savage,Sgt Slaughter,Ric Flair, Gorilla Monsoon,Mr Fuji & most particularly Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan.I can just envisage Mean Gene renewing his his old rivalry with Bobby Heenan with Gorilla Monsoon egging them on in the great wrestling wrestling in the sky.
Thank you for the memories.
