Respected politician. Probably the best leader of the Liberals in the 20thc

Another one of the true greats of british politics of the 80's and 90's gone.

A true Parliamentarian with a military background & one of the best leaders the Liberals had

Don't forget he was caught up in that scandal years ago and the Sun had him on their front cover and nicknamed him 'Paddy Pantsdown' however he rode that storm out and went on to become a respected poilitican, mind you he did make himself look foolish at the Election when he said he would eat his hat(I can't remember exactly what that was about)-someone made him a cake version to eat.

Paddy Pantsdown has dropped his kegs for the last time. His old school transgressions of back in the day seem almost quaint in comparision to the shittiness practiced by today's politicians. Stop the world I want to get off please.

Paddy Ashdown was a rare commodity. A politician who was well respected by his peers from all sides of the political spectrum and held in very high regard abroad due to his fantastic knowledge tact and diplomacy

Considering the collection of clueless selfish inept fools we have in government and in opposition I can’t help wondering if he was 20 years younger if he would’ve been a shoe in for Number 10
