Okay the 80's one has done so well it made sense to do the 90's now, so anything about the 90's you remember-the fashions, the music, the events and anything that happened to you back then. Let us know here.

For starters the 90's saw me having two massive holidays which turned out to be real adventures for me and my friend, and later me and my father. I'll tell you all about those soon. Over to you now. Smile
This is something anybody who grew up in the 90s will remember....the greatest animated series of all time Smile

Oh, yes I remember watching that I think I recorded it on the Cartoon Network.
^^ I would go further and say its the greatest Batman we've seen full stop.
^^
Yep this series has the definitive depiction of all the batman characters
It took mr freeze and turned him from a joke into a serious villain, harley quinn was created for this show which is the first time ever that a character has appeared on a tv show before in a comicbook, and of course it has the best joker ever
This might not be as famous as batman the animated series but its just as good

For me a stand out experience which I'll never forget was going to Ozzfest in 1998 at Milton Keynes Bowl. Prior to this I had only ever been to 1 concert and that was watching Courtney Love's band Hole in a medium sized indoor arena in London Clapham.
I had never seen Fear Factory, Pantera, The almighty Slayer, Black Sabbath etc. before.
It was and is still the best concert I have been to. Seeing Slayer for the first time was just an emmense and overwhelming experience. There was me and my brother and 4 mates and it was the 1st time we'd seen any of these bands live. 1998 Great Times and a great event!
Those holidays I mentioned were absolutely inspiring. The first one was Australia in November 1993(25 yrs ago last week in fact) with my best friend and we had a friend who had emigrated out to Perth. We'd always said we'd try to go and visit him one day, but to my surprise he came over the year before, stayed with my friend, and we joined up and did all sorts of activities like bowling and playing Cluedo! Anyway come the next year my friend came to me and asked how much money I could get my hands on and would I like to go and stay with this friend in Australia. I ummed and arred and spoke to my parents as it wasn't cheap- £500! As luck would have it though I had a bit of a windfall in shares from a bank (technically all holders should have had 100 free shares, but I ended up with 200 and escaped the investigation into how people got hold of more) so I used those and sold them, using the money for the air ticket. We left England very late(about 3 hours late due to aircraft problem) and after two stops in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates and Singapore Airport, arrived exhausted at 1.30am in Perth Airport-our friend had come and gone home but then came back later. We arrived at his house in the early hours of 5th November(having left the 3rd here) and I was driven mad by cicadas chirriping away. It took three days to get over my jet-lag.
Don't want to hog all this so will leave the next part of this until next time.
Right so here is part 2. You will remember I and my friend arrived nearly 3 hours late to Perth Airport and I was driven mad by cicadas half the night(or what was left of it) That morning we were driven into the city by our friends' mad uncle and we went to book our tours(we would be going to Wave Rock and two other tours) and whilst in the travel place I happened to mention we had come from England and that today was 5th November-Bonfire Night. "Oh, we've got a display in the park later tonight" said the girl. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat??? SurprisedSurprisedSurprisedSurprised I had come thousands of miles to escape my life's nemesis and here it was on the doorstep in Australia!! Luckily we decided to cancel our bowling night and leave it. That night was the quietest I have ever spent and slept quite well.

Perth was a fascinating place, the main focus was the amazing King's Park on a hill (which is where our friend would get married years later) and the view of the city was incredible. The main city was very vibrant, a young persons city and so many places to eat including Hungry Jacks-the equivalent here would have been KFC. Whilst in Perth we went to an OMNIMAX cinema-this is the one with a wraparound screen and immerses you so you feel you are actually in the film. We saw a film called SPEED which all different types of vehicles going fast such as being strapped to the top of a speeding car to a roller-coaster(very realistic) to flying over Singapore where if you leant forward it felt you were looking down on the buildings. An incredible experience. The other place we went to was Kahunu Wildlife Park where they had these huge wooden statues of dinosaurs and other animals-it was a roasting hot day but when we came down and back into the city the temperature dropped to the 60's and their famous Sea Doctor wind was blowing into the city making it cooler.

Next time I will tell you about my adventures in Melbourne, including a visit to a rather famous soap's location. Wink In the meantime, keeeeeeeeeeeep posting!
