Loads of beautiful females on that right back to Leila Williams, Valerie Singleton, Lesley Judd, Tina Heath, Janet Ellis, Sarah Greene, Yvette Fielding, Caron Keating(sadly died), Romana D'Anunzio, Katy Hill, Anthea Turner, Konnie Huq(longest serving female), Helen Skelton right up to Linsey today. It was worth watching back then and I used to get a Blue Peter annual every year as did my sister but I never got a Blue Peter badge!!
Oops missed out Anita West(didn't last that long), Diane-Louise Jordan and Liz Parker? don't remember her to be honest. Watched the special they did and I find it most odd that practically all the competitions winners are girls! And this is not a one-off for competitions, if you go back to the seventies and the winner of designing a new stamp for Christmas-that was a girl as well. The current diamond competition -all three winners were girls and the overall winner was a girl who designed a motif for a Blue Peter hot air balloon.
