Just finished reading her obituary, what a harsh childhood she had. One thing that came out was her loathing of Norman Wisdom, I had always thought him to be a nice comedian not a bit of it, she said of him "Hand up your skirt first thing in the morning. Not exactly a lovely way to start a day's filming." So he got away with it, if he were alive would he still be held in the same regard.
Anyway back to Fenella, she did have a great career, while never reaching the heights of other actors, she seems to have remained normal.
Sad to see her go RIP Fenella
Fenella Fielding told a friend she was going to learn to drive aged 90. But your blind as a bat the friend replied, to which Fenella said don't worry darling I'm going to have the whole windscreen made out of prescription glass.
