US captain Jim Furyk announced 3 of his extra picks last night: Bryson deChambeau, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.

Europe captain Thomas Bjorn is announcing his extra picks today.
He's gone with Garcia, Stenson, Casey and Poulter
Thought Wallace did enough, I'd have binned off a desperately out of form Sergio for him.
Casey should consider himself lucky given that he made all the noises last time about how important making the team was after not being eligible, yet he chose to chase dollars rather than try to qualify automatically through European tour events.

Mickelson still looking wayward despite a 63 final round last week - and who will partner him?
Finau has to get the 4th pick for me.
Cracking first day.

US won the morning bit 3-1 (Woods losing, heh), but Europe stormed back to win the afternoon 4-0 and thus be 5-3 ahead going into Day 2 Smile
Europe won 3-1 again this morning, Woods losing again Tongue

Or is it headed for a "triumph against the odds" finish?
Europe 10 USA 6 going into Day 3, and the final showdown.
Only twice in the 41 previous Ryder Cups have a team come from 4 points down going into the final day singles to win - the US in 1999 and Europe in 2012.
The singles matches start at 11.05. Here's the running order for today:-

11.05 - Rory McIlroy v Justin Thomas
11.17 - Paul Casey v Brooks Koepka
11.29 - Justin Rose v Webb Simpson
11.41 - Jon Rahm v Tiger Woods
11.53 - Tommy Fleetwood v Tony Finau
12.05 - Ian Poulter v Dustin Johnson
12.17 - Thorbjorn Olesen v Jordan Spieth
12.29 - Sergio Garcia v Rickie Fowler
12.41 - Francesco Molinari v Phil Mickelson
12.53 - Tyrrell Hatton v Patrick Reed
13.05 - Henrik Stenson v Bubba Watson
13.17 - Alex Noren v Bryson DeChambeau
I always remember the farce in 1999 with Mark James' total inability to blend the 3 newbies with the 8 established guys proving a calamity.
Just feel that the key ones for Europe are: -
Mcilroy V Thomas
Molinari V Mickelson
Rahm V Woods
Poulter V Johsnson

If they are up in those four then surely a half in any other match would be good
