Hello Chaps,
Just volunteered for service in the 1st Battalion of The King's Own BabeShow Rifle Regiment.
Ha, now you are thinking, we have a right nutter here; well you are absolutely half right, I am exclusively a not right nutter.
Having being enlisted into the world in 1953, I have been brought up on a rich diet of great and sometimes whacky humour from Laurel & Hardy to The Goodies.
I am a great fan of Dad's Army and Last Of The Summer Wine, hence my user name.
My adjutant (the wife) thinks I have enough pomposity to be both Captain Mainwaring And Foggy Dewhurst at the same time, but she misses one vital point; that point being we British have made laughing at ourselves a national pastime.
So there you have it messmates.
Just for the record, I shall post in the manner of Foggy Mainwaring, for the purposes of adding a bit of humour to the forum. No offence is ever intended and if any is caused please PM me, and I will pin an apology medal to your rearguard.
