Right again! Surprised (though not by much)
Chorley did make it a good game and shouild be proud of holding Wolves to a a single goal now it is the turn of Cheltenham Vs Manchester City and sadly I don't see there being a single goal victory but i do hope Cheltenham Town give a good account of themselves
Aguero with covid, de Bruyne out injured... I suspect Man City might have enough depth to surmount these though.
^^^Just about
NLN and NLS voted to end their season in annulment. What a complete waste of time and effort.
Sutton United are on the threshold of reaching the Football League for the first time. They're 3 points above rivals Torquay United, with 2 games left. Sutton's 2 games are against high-flying Hartlepool, and bottom-placed Barnet. Torquay's games are against struggling Altrincham... and Barnet also.
And that would be another London team in the football league , after Barnet's fall from grace maybe Sutton United can take there place as the small London side in the football league.

Think Salford's promotion has inspired other lesser know club's to get promoted to the football league the likes of Harrogate and Barrow (all be it they was in the football league years ago) have done it.
I was glad both Harrogate and Barrow managed to stay up, it would have been an awful anti-climax.

I only realised yesterday that Sutton was presumably as in Sutton & Cheam, rather than Sutton on Sea (ahem)
Sutton did indeed get the job done with 1 game to spare.
Torquay beat Notts County AET in today's semi-final; Hartlepool and Stockport contest the other tomorrow.
