Not seen him live but I have seen a few clips on Youtube which I'll admit as a non-fan were pretty funny. Better than his Simpson's episode anyway!

U gotta admit that The Office was one of the greatest shows of all time though..

I've never watched the Office. The constant repeats of that dance on TV put me off!
I did see Gervais talking to Larry David on Channel 4 I believe. If the Office is anything like his stuff (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm) I might give it a try.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is my all time fave comedy ... LD is the man!!
Got all 6 series on DVD and I could just watch them over and over and over again.
Looks like there finally getting a 7th series underway using alot of his Seinfeld cast again apparently.
Id say Office is very similar in the dry comedy kind of sense ...

I might give it a try then. There's not much in the way of decent comedy on at the moment, so it's worth a go.
I've got much love for Larry David, his comments on the Seinfeld DVDs were fantastic! I'd love to see him do stand up - in one of the DVD extras Michaels Richards, a.k.a. Kramer, talked about seeing one of Larry's shows that didn't go so well, so he simply shouted, "Fuck you, everybody, fuck you!" at the audience and stormed off the stage. Quote Michael Richards: "What an act!"

The Office is a masterpiece but Gervais stand-up isn't. Has anyone seen Ghost Town...Is it good?
