R.I.P Sir Ken
A much loved comedian with his trademark tickling stick who's career spanned over decades who never felt the need to resort to crudeness & vulgarity for cheap laughs.
It is often said that the sign of a good comedian is not the joke they tell but the timing & how they project the joke & old Doddy had that classic comedy timing & projection in spades.

My best memory of Ken Dodd was about 30 years ago when I was in the audience as a 10 year old & Ken came on stage & he started by mocking his own appearance he said "I got approached by a attractive young lady on the high street earlier today & she said to me 'Excuse me handsome can you tell me where the Opticians are!'".It was one of those classic jokes that I've always remembered to this day.

RIP Ken Dodd & to coin a phrase of the great man 'O-tickle-I'.
