I saw this yesterday. I understand she feels the way she does but it’s simple, either you except that it will happen as it’s pretty unavoidable and take the money which people will pay to see more or you simple don’t do it ever. People probably shouldn’t upload them but people will feel they’ve paid for it it’s there’s to do what they want with. It’s an unbreakable cycle.
She needs to realise that she has to grow up and accept that when we call we sort of pay part of her wages, and when we cam with her we are paying for that as a service she offers, and she is performing so it's inevitable some are likely to record the show.
Its like she wants to sir up the whole "Freeloaders" row again.
I look back on that on that episode and she kicked that off with a message type rant on Twitter and look how that exploded
She's a bit of a diva but at the end of the day i'd still rather watch her than a nice girl who i don't find attractive, most people probably think the same way too, i suspect the main reason people get turned off by a girl is if she is crap on the phone or rips you off on webcam. how many people actually give a shit if a girl slags off some random blokes on the internet?
Recording cam shows are fine.

Uploading them onto the internet isn't.
What's this?!! I thought everything was the hackers/freeloaders fault?! You mean there are morally dubious or nasty shits amongst the payers too?! Who would have thunk it?! Wink

It's good to go back to basics in such matters I think: It is Macy that's making the initial recording. Just because it is designed to be a shortlived one in no way halts it's potential for copying and later distribution. Anyone who denies this to themselves is being illogical.

That said, the stealing or uploading/sharing of 'private' material is nigh on impossible to defend*...

As nigh on impossible as performing sexually over the internet for essentially strangers and not expecting footage to get out. Then, if you are in a generally exploitative industry that doesn't always hide it's distain for it's clientele you should probably add to that expectation.

Doesn't make it right but it makes it entirely predictable. And something that choices should be based around.

Let's see what choices are made here, long term.

* It's usually self-serving from those who try. I for one wouldn't begin to attempt it having partaken of much of footage of this kind.

I think the "shocked, upset and distraught" routine is to try and stop sharing and also get a few "you're the best can I buy something off of your wishlist" for the paypigs and white knights.

AS you say, it doesn't make pirating right, but it happens everywhere from Samsung allegedly knicking Apple technology to doing tape to tape recordings in the 80s of That's what I call music 3". Nobody is that naieve and the privacy thing is just nonsense because basically she'll flash her whazoo to anyone who tips high enough.

I believe we've seen this before. Remember when Clare Richards was apoplectic about her very early home webcam stuff where after 2 hours she'd do a 10 sec flash, was leaked out. Now you can get 2 solid hours of the cam on her pussy. She obviously got over the heartbreak at some pointBig LaughBig Laugh

would you say there is a little bit of a grey area in all this?

^ An excellent post on a thorny issue.

I was trying to avoid this kind of analysis of an individual's motivations (as it has gotten me into hot water on here before! Tongue ). Instead, I was just trying to outline why it is the babe's responsibility to be honest with herself initially about what she is getting into on cam.

But as you brought it upWink : I agree that it is the language of Macy's tweet that is... interesting shall we say. It does seem that her aim is to abdicate all sense of responsibility from herself and to attempt to shame the individual(s) involved into changing their dodgy ways.

The reference to income (it's rare for a babe to mention this publicy unless they have been challenged on it in some way) and the passive aggressive threat of less "effort" are both intended to raise the stakes above the normal response to such things. She is trying to make out that she is not all about what she can get - when all previous evidence has indicated an almost complete compitulation to money-making from her on cam. (She started out, if you remember, telling all-comers that she would never even flash a nipple.)

I think Macy's real regret here is that she thought she was judging her guys' characters from whatever connection she had with them, when she was actually being deceived by dazzling pound signs into doing the dirty deeds. She's going through a kind of earner's remorse and intent on not blaming herself. The promises not to go there again may even be as much to try and convince herself on the matter as they are aimed at the guys behind the uploads.

There is a grey area.

The whole babe channel industry is a mess.

More eloquently put than I - thank you.

I think the challenge for a lot of the channel girls is that times are changing. With the channels having to chase the webcam market to remain in business, the ladies are running into the pros of MFC and Chatterbate that operate a very different model whereby they rely much more on tips for a top quality free show.

The girls on MFC will spend time in free chat naked/open legged and now using that tip operated toy that vibrates (genius idea whoever came up with that one) just milking tips. Babeshow girls sit permanently behind a paywall and ask us to take a chance that they will do something or that they are even there (I'm sure a lot of us have logged on to an empty bed more than once).

TV does in some sense advertise what may be going on but is in itself a limitation on what they do on pervcam; they don't interact with pervcam when on TV, and when behind the curtain or at home we're back to taking a chance with our hard earned.

I'm sure some of the girls are uncomfortable with their cams being leaked but there is an inexorable move towards more explicit cams by the channels that they will have to adjust to or find other employment. Pirating wont stop so there is little point raging against that with emotive language.

One of the funniest, and most apt moments came when watching an Alice Goodwin camshow, where between calls she just sang to herself "showing my pussy for money" - quite soBig Laugh
