Atlantic TV's new show starts on the 18th January.
It's a drama set in 43AD. It has the Roman Army attempting to crush the Celtic population of Britannia.
Is it another Game of Thrones or even a Last Kingdom.
One of the series directors is Susan Tully who found fame in Eastenders
Christ not Her from Grange Hill and then Michelle fowler in East enders
She's mostly been directing for TV. She's directed episode 3 of this Britannia series.
I'm looking forward to this wacky, trippy show returning. It's daft in the best possible way.
^^
That's why I love Britannia, it's daft and bonkers in the best possible way as well as having an excellent cast who play their parts brilliantly
Any series that frequently uses the word cunt, gets a thumbs up from me.
Britannia series/season 3 starts at 9pm tonight on Sky Atlantic. For anyone who has access to sky box sets, you can download and watch all of s3 right now.
There's been a dearth of decent stuff to watch of late, so this show is such a welcome return. A totally crazy mash-up of history, sex, violence, comedy, & not forgetting great music. T-Rex of course, but in the season 3 opener we're treated to a forgotten classic from David Gilmour's second solo album, About Face - this track Murder, was about the senseless death of John Lennon.
