The 2 minutes challenge is as irritating as hell,so the question I'm asking is...Is the 2 minute challenge just mugging people off?

i lost count last thursday and friday night how many times dannii done it was becoming a joke i switched off and watched something else
Big Laugh nice one Truth, your vid said it all.

Oh yes, the sheer frequency of their call stacking gimmicks how desperate their shows have become. You can tell a lot of their babes are struggling without them.
It's the same as the DFS Sale. Fucking neverending.
thats why i usually hit the mute button when watching bs channels on tv after 10pm
Not to deny it's repetitive to watch and imo counterproductive in terms of giving good service to actual callers - but is it really new ?
I seem to remember "the Quick Fire Round" being deployed in similar fashion.
Isn't this just calling it something else, and possibly deploying it ever more desperately in the face of presumably ever-declining call volumes ?
^ And maybe they are now speeding that decline by sticking to a tricksy device that was always at least as much about creating revenue accruing churn on the phones as it was about satisfying a certain type of customer.

Consumers get savvy over time. Forums like this one do have some effect in setting a tone for how the industry or an operator is viewed. For instance, the word "gimmick"'s occurrences in the BS threads of late must have set some kind of record! All those and the other little bits of negativity will pervade in the end. The wise company will try and correct such perceptions with good customer service communication. BS does virtually nothing of that, unless contacted first. Even then its spotty apparently. (Is it entirely a coincidence that deep into BS's woes, 66 managed an uncharacteristic apology and loyalty thanking message yesterday?)

For me, the onscreen "challenges" are the most visible symptom of a deep malaise at BS atm. Operations like theirs always seem to think they can get away with any wiz indefinately. but Id like to believe that punters are simply beginning to see this clutter for what it is when faced with the desperate repetition that you describe. Factor in the de-focus away from giving callers the formerly half-decent TV visuals when they are on the phone and you have a good recipe for once regular now much more infrequent or lapsed callers.

It is always the "market continues to decline" with these people. The emphsasis eternally placed on the external. We never see any evidence that they are addressing the possibility that they have been complicit in their own downturn. The hunt we see simply shows a permanent fixation with finding the next grand scheme or piece of tech to fix their broken mould.

Obviously it is speculation that arrogance and complacency got BS into playing catch up with their competitors. But if true, the latter looks to have been wrenched from them when we look at recent developments in their channels. The former could well be holding them back still...

In any event, if this perception of the culture at BS is incorrect then they need to be proving it so with their actions going forward... because the very existence of threads such as this prove that I'm not alone in thinking along of their business in these terms.
i notice S66 dont use these ruses...YET
cant stand the 2 min challenge really puts me off.
its to saying most men its ok you suffer from premature ejaculation we wont laugh in your face when u come inside 2 mins Tongue Tongue Tongue

Do they log the phone off after each round get the feeling they do?

Do they still charge a 1.50 connection fee ? so if they do loads of punters paying over a fiver for a 2 min call
