I hope if he does got to Jail it's for 250 years and in America's toughest Jail
The one thing I find interesting is that with all these women lining up to accuse him now when they could have spoken out much sooner about him I think their chances of justice in court would have been far greater. But I think if it was to end up in court I doubt many would actually testify against him and the charges would be dropped

When somebody is in a position of power and abuses it, in this case in a position to destroy careers, it would be difficult to come forward. If they weren't believed and made to look like a liar in certain circles, they could get black balled, ruining a career that he would have ruined if they hadn't kept quiet. A horrible catch 22 situation to be in.
You always find that if one person is brave enough to take that first step, or evidence of abuse is found/gathered, then people will start to come forward.
The fact that it took this long for it all to come out, when it has clearly been a well known 'secret' isn't unexpected unfortunately, but hopefully all those complicit will face consequences of keeping his actions under wraps, as it is completely unacceptable.
Also, this whole getting help, wanting a second chance shite, fuck that, he abused his position, abused women and is only sorry now he's been caught out publicly. Hopefully he will be totally ruined, do some time and never hold a position of power again.

Apart from the difficulties that some victims would have had in coming forward (I totally agree that some like Paltrow & Jolie are powerful enough to have done it) it does seem that even those who did complain couldn't get the authorities to act. That smacks of corruption - there are already stories that one District Attorney, Cyrus Vance, dropped a case on the basis of insufficient evidence yet investigation would have revealed a number of private settlements of claims. Vance also seems to have received election campaign donations from people close to Weinstein.
Interestingly Vance also dropped a property fraud case against Ivanka & Donald Trump Jr at about the time he received a campaign donation from Donald Trumps lawyer and a visit from him
I can understand why the majority of his victims did not come forward as they had everything to lose by going public and would probably have lost anyway leaving their reputations and futures in tatters. The a-list stars on the other hand could easily have stopped him just by hinting at what was going on. Imagine the uproar had Jolie or Paltrow at the height of their fame stated that women were being sexually harassed by studio executives and threatened to name people, even Weinstein might have thought twice about it. Instead they promoted sisterhood and equality, championing womens rights while all the time they knew there was a serial predator in their midst, keeping quiet so they did not rock the boat.
Hollywood is a cesspool filled with hypocrites, scum and arse kissers.
