^ Cynical ? Moi ?!? Perish the thought Wink I just find it hilarious that this naff looking rag with 'megastar' model (and I use the word model VERY loosely) Bianca Gascoigne on the cover, and very few of the actual Elite girls in it, charges a mere £8 per copy, when even at the peak of the lads mag era the best known mags (FHM, Loaded) were less than half that. Why anyone would chuck the best part of a tenner away on this crap I'll never know. And, much like babelover, I too would love to know how many they sold and how many are sitting in their office still.
Beats me why put out a mag with very few Elite/St66 babes in in the first place!! If you want to put out a mag like that by all means use photos yes but add in some of the girls who work for St66/Elite & interviews news and stuff that would make it more worthwhile reading otherwise it'll just end up in the recycling bin once you've read it!! Tongue Big Grin I doubt they have room in their offices for all the copies they haven't sold mate and if Rammy is true to his word and says he's not bought one then he didn't buy one. but even if it came down to £4.99 a copy I still wouldn't buy it. If you asked me today to choose between this mag and maybe Zoo or Nuts, I would have bought one of the other two every time over the St66 mag. To me the St66 mag is just nothing more than a photo book showcasing photographers that shoot for the Studio nothing else
With the magazine "brand" I think the problem is they don't have anything outside of the magazine. They are clearly creating clear water between the magazine and the channels because they are strangely incompatible (sophisticated tits out, vs sordid tits outBig Grin ); its noticeable that few channel girls went on the latest shoot.

It still remains a vanity project; its basically £8 for coffee table soft porn and they have nothing else associated with it so its never going to make money. Will still be amazed if it makes issue 3Big Laugh

As to the constant tweets about the "team", "family" and "stronger together" its the worst kind of turn of the century management babble that would have me showing people the door.
There's a reason Zoo, Nuts, FHM etc no longer exist in print format.....because no one buys those magazines anymore, why pay for something (soft porn/glamour) you can get for free.

I suspect how long it S66 lasts will depend on the depth of the pockets of the person or persons backing it

I looked at those tweets and I was thinking is there really a "family" at St66? and I guess the only St66 channel babes that might have taken part are those who felt comfortable doing it
As for coffee table porn...hmm I wouldn't even describe it as that to me it's just a lads mag devoid of words!! (and a very expensive one at that!!)

Nice to see their priorities are in order - shite output day after day recently, or have another pointless event were the bosses can strut around some tacky venue, thinking they're gangsters, while the 'babes' just have another piss-up and convince themselves they're celebrities.

And bring in mega stars like Callum Best. Actually thought they were celebrating that they had now sold a copy of issue no.1, which I do believe was bought by Rammy.

Callum Best is not a mega star to me too Z+ list for me

Terms like sophistication are of course relative. Wink

A big slice of any newsagent magazine's costs are in distribution. The fact that 66 look to be avoiding much of this (the mags only confirmed availabilty is online) is indicative that it's real intent is not dependent on mainstream sales.

It is largely an exercise in expanding the 66 name's connotations and its personnels' connections.
S66 clearly must have sold enough copies of sixty6magazine (physical & online) to go ahead with issue 2. Otherwise they wouldn't have gone ahead with the issue 2 shoot.

They will have been shooting for issue 2 some time in advance, before they know any sale figures for the first one. Issue 2 was going to be published whatever. But beyond that, we shall see.

edit : there was an article in the Sun this morning about Bianca G, with the cover of the magazine (but no mention directly of it)
