I have concluded it's time for me to take a break from forum posting life for a while.
It is healthy I think for me to do so at this time.

I look back at my contributions of recent times with a tinge of regret and sadness in the face of my own cynicism and intransigence. A degree of soul searching is now due on my part. I will still be around but merely as a reader rather than contributor.
It will be a blessed relief for me let alone others to refrain from posting.
I have long since become as repetitive and unimaginative in my posts as I deem the channels to be with the output that results in those said posts.
I cannot continue to berate all and sundry when not getting my own house in order.

I have made the mistake in the past of announcing a permanent departure.
Not a mistake worth making twice .
An unspecified time period away from posting will do me some good hopefully.
And besides this forum is blessed with a number of outstandingly eloquent, articulate posters who I rate tremendously highly. Time for me to enjoy the posts of others and watch debate unfold with a nod, a wink, the odd shake of the head, a bit of laughter and many a smile. The odd pm to folk will happen now and again too no doubt as will some thanking to various posts.
Part of my problem is that I have said pretty much all I have to say.
Burn out ensues for me and boredom at myself too. So goodness knows what it must be like for you poor lot .

So keep up the fine work folks and I will admire your work as I always do.

Oh that's sad.

I mean yeah a bit of a break (147 variety? ) can do anyone good, as it did for you last time, but I think you're being too harsh on your own posts mate. What guys appreciate most about your posting is that you consistently spoke in a simple heart on the sleeve depth without artifice. You always wrote with passion, humour and self-deprication. So how could you post other than what you saw and still see? You told and still tell it how you felt it is, so how could that ever be wrong? If you repeated yourself at all it was only because the shows consistently made the same faux pas' over time.

If this is how you're feeling though, I guess we have to respect it. This forum will always keep your chair at the top table for you dude. It's there as long as you need it.

Post again soon dude. Enjoy your time off.

if i'm completely honest, i find your posts a wee bit on the wordy side. but each to his own.

seriously though, don't be away to long mate.

I hope you come back sooner rather than later mate.Your posts make for a fascinating read,you'll be greatly missed.
