The 1st ODI begins this afternoon from Headingley, in this 3 match series
South Africa won the toss and put England into bat.

Plunkett in the team instead of Willey
Current score 6-1 off 2 over (Roy out)
England finish on 339/6 with a century from Morgan and a brilliant 77 not out from Ali. At 198/5 England were looking a bit shaky, but Morgan and Ali made it a great total in the end, although these days you never know what kind of total is enough.
339 is a competitive score.
South Africa have quality batters though so it could still be interesting.
Goodness knows who wins.
Easy victory for England in the end
South Africa 267 all out in 45 over. England won by 72 runs.
Woakes got 4 wickets
At 145-1 South Africa looked on course until a collapse did for them.
Useful matches against South Africa these with the Champions Trophy just around the corner.
2nd ODI today. England make a change from the first match, Chris Woakes having a slight injury and replaced by Jake Ball. South Africa won the toss and chose to insert England for the 2nd match running.
how does the wicket look?
The wicket looks good for batting and England have totalled 330/6. Stokes was the biggest contributor with 101 from only 79 balls and there was some big hitting at the end of the innings from Ali and Buttler.
Another tense afternoon for England supporters I guess
