What i was referring to is a bs channel which is broadcast at the same content level regardless of how the viewer/potential caller chooses to see it,(something they did not do from March last year for several months),for example i watch on Sky whereas someone else may need to watch via another provider such as Freeview,Virgin or Freesat, hope this answers your question.

From what we have seen more recently, that 'experiment' can only be concluded as a failure surely - else why are they not still doing it? The will from the babe show operators to produce more explicit TV camera founded footage* doesn't seem to be there atm regardless (see the death of the old Unleashed). And I can't foresee that changing any time soon.

An uncensored airwaves seems highly unlikely given the current political climate on such issues; so whatever streams do make it to our future TVs they will undoubtedly require to be censored. (If we get lucky it might be the lighter touch of the BBFC of recent years and not Ofcom that will be doing the regulation.) As such, it looks as if basically only the delivery method to the platform and/or to the viewer will change.

There doesn't seem much wriggle room for differing content levels on different platforms around the corner to me.

* God the blurred nature of future TV will force some convoluted language until we get a jazzy name for some new sub-platform(s)! (Shame Skynet was perverted by the Terminator franchise! Tongue )
I've voted yes.

What a dire time they've been having recently, but we've seen them turn their fortunes around before after we gave them a good kicking on here. Perhaps they already have taken on board some of the comments from the last couple of days and are ready to step it up again in the new year.

I'm looking for some good theme shows this month as it's Christmas. There's plenty of opportunity for all the channels to invest in the festive spirit.

Needs to be more than a few balloons though. Wink
A lot depends on the ability to maintain the caller base that is already there and attract new callers. With calls costing £2.00 per minute, pretty shoddy production, lack of imagination and variety, endless gimmicks and an ever more prevalent anti freeloader mentality characterised by wishlists and findom it would be all too easy to conclude BS is buggered with the other channels seeming to struggle in the majority of the same regards. The old fashioned television nightshow to my mind is a dying art. The authenticity and purity of nightshows from yesteryear seems to my mind long gone. A combination of OFCOM, and the web based content gradually taking over is driving the poor old television nightshow to it's inexorable demise imo.
BS may continue for a while yet but exactly how long who knows Huh.

One thing is for sure.
My temptation to call BS has long since become zero.
My temptation to call the other channels is barely all that much better.
I will leave it there before I depress myself and you lot any more HuhRolleyes.
Snookered shuffles away tutting and shaking his head at the sheer misery and futility of it all Sad.
By 2019 I think they will be down to one channel.

Yes, I think that's a realistic scenario. They're always going to need at least one channel as a shop window for all the other services. Even if the channel itself runs at a loss.
It's the TV channels that keep Babestation plus Xpanded and S66 in the public eye. Satellite TV especially has made the channels semi acceptable and the Babestation name especially a household name slightly iconic.

Had the channels been Internet only they would not have been anywhere as successful as they have and making some of the girls well known in the process.

If the channels were to become Online only it would drive them underground and I'm sure there would be substancially less callers and viewers.

Xpanded had been around as Internet based only long before it came onto Satellite TV with Honey launching the channel in July 2011. And like Babestation has a bigger parent company behind it too.

If the babe channels disappear from TV they won't be as successful despite the costs involved.
^ All very true HR.

After the total flop that was Sin's period as an online only and RLC's plummet into the backwaters of net, no TV babe show operator would choose to go truly internet only at this juncture. It would only be severe difficulties that would make them forgo the pretty much essential shop windows that are the main TV platforms. The reach, pularity and sheer visibility are their life blood.

But as I said before the nature of the beast is already changing. For all we know the channels may have already adopted the reduced costs involved in uplinking their content via the net. As more parts of the process become internet based relative reduced costs will presumably be passed along.

Some seperate section of similarly live streaming channels may be created on Sky and the rest. Look at the way the new Sky Q hybridises its delivery methods to see how they are waiting on such web tv content.

They and the other platforms are really only waiting on the consumer catching up with the tech here. More content will be produced that way when more people have the ability to view it by such methods. We have chicken waiting for the egg scenario in the UK atm. The tipping point can't be that far off though.

By then everyone will have that accessibility for their main lounge TV. The picture we are watching will have changed, will link easier to related content, and will be more cheaply produced but we will still be watching much the same stuff in the same manner as now. That is what the babe shows will find most agreeable.

EDIT TO ADD: Maybe this ^ is when those pesky OSGs will become removable on a PPV basis? Wink
Think the Internet Porn ban that is going trhough the hOuse of Lords at the moment will have a beneficial impact on the Tv channels and once that is in placce about this time next year the channel will be stronger than ever
