A blast from the past.

Channel4 are presently showing a charity special of the great 1990's programme, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
Celebrities include Michelle Keegan and Rio Ferdinand
I watched it. It was pretty good.
Damn, I missed that.

Still, I have to say, you can't beat the original from the 80s. That baldy dude outta the Rocky Horror show with half a dozzen middle-managers in THE worst shell-suits in the world. Locking each of them in a room until they solve the puzzles that always looked piss-easy to the veiwer. Then the finale. He'd put them all in a greenhouse / wind-tunnel and they'd have to grab as many kit-kat wrappers as they could in the time they'd earned.

See, they just don't make telly like that anymore.
Aside from the shell suits, this was a pretty good homage to the original, plus they won a great chunk of change for charity.

It was a lot of fun Smile
^^
Hope it's repeated or on online catch-up as didn't watch it last night as I was in Blackpool watching ice hockey
It's on demand and repeated tonight at 8pm on 4seven, and on Saturday at 5.50pm on Channel 4 (and plus one) Wink

Was just about to post this, will watch at 8pm and then post my thoughts. Was in Blackpool as Manchester Phoenix are playing home games their whilst their new Manchester City Centre home is built.

update: watched this new crystal maze and overall I enjoyed it a lot, the only thing I didn't like was steven merchant constantly doing puns and jokes seemingly every 30 seconds. loved they had the original host Richard O'Brian as the computer and loved it when he said "that guy who used to be dr who would have been a better choice" referring to the reports that david tenant was going to host it.

hope c4 turn this into a series
