Holt and McGill among today's "don't let the door hit you on the way out" brigade.
Maguire was "fired" rather than "on fire" this time.
Carter and Bingham fell, and Zhao lost to Lisowski, of all people. Neil Robertson drubbed by Jackson Page. Tubs still persists, though.
Hah, Tubs and Hawkins both fell in the first half of the round of 16.
On evening one of my visit to Brentwood I have just seen Mark Selby battle out a 4-2 win over Wu Yize.
Wu took the first frame with a 68 before Selby had runs of 76, 50 and 50 again to lead 3-1. The Chinese hot shot replied with a 51 to claw it back to 2-3.
He looked set to force a decider before breaking down on 57.
The Jester duly cleared with a 58 to seal victory.
Selby and Allen among the few big names left in it.
Zhou rallied from 4-2 down to beat Luca in a looooooooooong match, whilst Page pushed Selby all the way but still lost.
Yes I saw both those matches in the arena. Some excellent stuff interspersed with some errors from all four players.
Zhou Yuelong started slowly but found his groove in the latter part of the match to seal his last four spot.
Mark Selby did very typical Mark Selby things in battling past Jackson Page. The 131 to seal it was nerveless.
A really enjoyable three matches duly witnessed at The Brentwood Centre even if the seats were a little uncomfortable to sit in

.
Mallen is in the box seat, but Zhou Yuelong has had some chances to close it down.
Allen led 6-2 but then lost 6 out the next 7 to trail 8-7 before coming back to win 9-8. Pretty much saved his best stuff for when he was on the brink of defeat in nearly every round.
