Pang Junxu is the other surprise semi-finalist having made a fantastic 125 break in the decider to beat Robertson 5-4.

Kyren currently beating Williams 2-0 but Williams is unpredictable and that match is a long way from over.

Judd's got Tubbs again, groan. Tubbs might have beaten Judd in the Saudi Masters if he'd made sure of that green in the decider and not tried that positional shot on the brown. I hope it's more comfortable for Judd tonight.

Neil once again stuffs a half-decent chance for a title. Kyren would be impressive adding a HN trophy to his world title. But Pang seems to be an improving dude who keeps getting these results.

Kyren did beat Pang, 6-4. Trump off to a commanding start against Slessor. The latter should have played into his looks and got made up as a creepy vent doll, or something, it might have spooked Trump.

The Trump v Slessor encounter was a predictable mismatch. The Bristolian won 6-0.

Credit to Slessor (and Pang) in getting to the semis, those ranking points add up (a bit).

Everyone settles down to expect a classic between World number one and World Champion. Then Kyren Wilson promptly storms into a 7-1 lead .
