Just seen that Frank Kelly Who Played Father Jack in Father Ted has died aged 77

I was only watching a compilation of his antics on Father Ted last night,such sad news.

A vital part of a gem of a series. Also a lovely bloke IRL, by all accounts. Did a few other acting roles well, too.

damn shame. love that show. a really feckin arse tits of a day..!! to use jack's own unique parlance....

i read a while back that he was a really serious actor back in the day, and wasn't even sure about taking on the role... a role that made him a household name in the end.

Whenever 'drink' is mentioned I always think of Father Jack. Thanks for the memory Frank.
