Hi really good topic what with the Series with the Windies about to start but the highlight must be the Aussies later on in the Season, I must admit that I know very little about disabled Cricket (My apologies) I have heard of Blind Cricket from several interviews on Test Match Special on Radio 4 (and also the Primary Club of course)
Is there a Website where I could get further info?
I follow Hampshire CC and go back to the days when Barry Richards and Gordon Greenidge used to open for them and the fearsome Malcolm Marshall ( so sad about him) as their main bowler. Prehaps this is before your time(lol).
Although I support England I have to admit my first Cricket hero was Clive Lloyd when he played for Lancashire ( well before he went on to perform so magnificently with the West Indies) I well understand your admiration for Tendukar. He is a fine Batsman, and India have a really good team at the moment . they seem to blend well together
I am however a little fearful of Englands chances this season, ah well time will tell
I can provide you some links about disabled cricket including a club who i play for and yes i have heard some of the players you have mentioned. I think England will get a decent result against the West Indies as our cricket pitches are far superior and some of the players for the West Indies are not used to playing in english conditions and even though im a India fan im still looking forward to the ashes.

Believe itor not im Scottish and played cricket(locally) for many years. All i can say is "c,mon the Essex"
On the 1st day at Lord's England are 289/7 off 90 overs with Ravi Bopara on 118 not out.
thanks to channel 4 losing the cricket rights i have lost all interest in the sport
Fortunately for England today, the West Indies couldn't even catch Swine Flu! Big Grin Quality knock from Ravi though, still in 20/20 mode! Smile

Dreamlander
England were bowled out for 377 with Ravi Bopara scored 143 and Graeme Swann got a useful 63 not out and West Indies are 99/4 at tea.
West Indies are all out for 152 what a debut for Graham Onions he took 5 wickets for 38 runs in 9.3 overs and the West Indies have followed on and the latest score is 16/1 off 6 overs with skipper Chris Gayle dismissed.

Same with me. I was only ever interested in Test cricket which I followed for many years until it stopped being transmitted live on BBC2 then Channel4 a few years ago.
