i got a link to download a free mp3 from the horrors website. when i choose to download it opens in a new webpage but with quicktime on it. i don't actually have a download of the song on my computer though. how can i get it?.. to play in itunes

i have a mac btw
Have you tried right clicking the link and clicking "Save Link As"?
To Download a file automatically (rather than opening in a new web-page) using a Mac, hold the 'alt' key and click on the link. It will automatically download if the link is valid.

EDIT: To bring up the right click menu on a Mac (as suggested by BladeWave), hold the 'ctrl' key and click - this will present you with a list of options including 'Download Linked File As'.

alt click was the one. i had tried it with control and it had no download option
If you use safari and you don't have right click enabled on your mac, then ctrl and click on the link will give u several options, the option you're looking for is 'Download Linked File'

What's happening is when you're clicking on 'Click here to download your free mp3 of Sea Within A Sea.' your Quicktime prefs for MIME settings are telling quicktime to load that link so it plays the file in the browser.

following those above steps that one of the other guys gave you should download the file for ya.

failing that if you are using a desktop with a mouse goto system prefs>keyboard and mouse and change the right side from primary to secondary click.

Any problems give me a shout as I'm on a mac also and I know plenty about em.

Hope this helps man.
