Excellent stage actor as well, ground breaking as Alf Garnett in ' Till Death Us Depart' RIP Warren Mitchell.
Sad news. Great actor who played one of the iconic characters of British comedy of the 60s and 70s. Whilst you wouldn't get away with writing or showing the show today, his acting certainly brought out the stupidity of the bigoted character he portrayed.
Just bought the complete collection of in sickness and in health 6 series and xmas specials for 18.99 from amazon
That is a box set I would really like to get, I doubt the BBC will show any of the shows as a tribute to him. The only time the show is mentioned on TV these days is in shows like " it was all right in the 70's " its sad really. RIP
I guess now he is finally re - united with his silly old moo!! RIP Warren
