i have been recording the odd stream here and there and yesterday i noticed certain 1s that have audio are being dumped on my drive as mkv rather than mp4 or flv.

problem is the mkv files are showing 2hour plus file length when in actual fact there only a few mins long with some showing 12 hours?.
as you can guess this plays havoc when you try to convert the results to flv.
resulting in a 2 min file that would take 30-60 seconds to convert taking much longer. even longer than the 2+ hours listed in the mkv...

i have tried mkclean and Meteorite but neither of them make a usable output file that can be converted to flv...


suggestions plz.

for reference i use windows 10.

well i found something that actually works

mkvtoolnix

was a little confusing to start with but it turns out its just a couple of clicks to add the file then hit remux and 30 seconds later job done...
