No Lyth this time, which I think is the right decision as he was lucky to keep his place in the Ashes series. Taylor picked ahead of Ballance, which I think is a fair call too. Broad continues to be left out of the limited over squads and Stokes not picked for those squads either.
Samit Patel has been called up as a replacement for the injured Zafar Ansari for the test series against Pakistan.
It's looking like England plan to use Moeen Ali to opening the batting in the first Test against Pakistan on Tuesday.
Ist test today.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat.
Anderson got a wicket off a short ball.
Current score Pakistan 12-1

annoyed But Bell has just dropped an easy catch in the slips.
^No change there then Tongue
It's good to see Rashid getting a chance, which must be the right decision in the conditions, although his bowling's been expensive so far.
Broad has Shoaib Malik caught in the gully.... but it's a no ball!
England eventually get a second wicket. Mohammad Hafeez lbw b Stokes 98. It's the last ball before tea which is taken at 173/2.
End of day score Pakistan 286-4

Bell drop a catch at the start of the match and another at the end.
For his 2nd drop he didn't have to move. It was straight in and straight back out.
Looks like he'll be at silly mid off tomorrow.
