I've just tested it and it works for me mellow - picture and sound. Try using VLC video player - its free and plays most things.

Thanks Skateguy, I have got VLC but when I do a download it automatically chooses which media to play in. In this case it chose Windows media player.

I'm on a Mac, so am not sure how you select a specific media player on a PC. Are you not able to open VLC then somehow drag the .avi file onto VLC?
