Tottenham sack Jose Mourinho – just 6 days before a cup final. Very odd timing, but I guess if Tottenham had won the cup it would have been harder to do.

Mourinho was only 18 months into a 4 year contract, but I don't suppose Tottenham are concerned about the cost of the payoff, with all the European Super League cash they are expecting to get.

There's a story that Mourinho left Spurs because of them joining the Super League. Offically it's Spurs who have sacked Mourinho.

^^ I was thinking a similar thing, that the sacking might have come because he might have spoken out against the Super League?

If that's the case it will be interesting to see how other managers fare. I'm just speculating, the timing seems very curious.

He hasnt done very well at spurs so its not surprising i thought it would happen sooner tbh

Klopp will only go 1 of 2 places back to Dortmund or Bayern cant really go anywhere else without being a total hypocrite I reckon they will have a clear the air meeting and he will prob stay

I reckon Pep will stay at City says he loves it there and he signed on for an extension and I cant see him breaking that promise

The timing may seem odd, but Mourinho's last couple of press conferences were a bit strange, as though he knew his dismissal was coming. Tottenham probbaly feel that they have more chance of winning the cup without him.
