I'm watching series 2 on DVD. For those who don't know 'Endeavour' is the prequel to 'Morse'.
In this series the young Morse is played by Shaun Evans with the always brilliant Roger Allam as his boss.
It's set in the 1960's in Oxford of course. The period setting is wonderfully recreated and the production standards are very high.
All the performances are excellent and Evans manages to capture the socially awkward, slightly morose, but intrepid Morse very well.
