England T20 squad: Eoin Morgan (capt), Moeen Ali, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Jos Buttler, Michael Carberry, Harry Gurney, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Joe Root, James Tredwell, Chris Woakes

ODI squad (first 3 matches) Alastair Cook (capt), James Anderson, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Jos Buttler, Michael Carberry, Harry Gurney, Chris Jordan, Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, James Tredwell, Chris Woakes
I'm surprised Carberry's been recalled. What did he do in Australia - nothing much? No surprises otherwise.
Carberry has been working with Gooch on his batting this season.Gooch is no longer England's batting Coach.Go figure. Huh
Essex beat Sri Lanka in a 50 over match which was reduced to little more than a T20.Cook top score with 71 but struggled towards 50 before hitting 22 from 5 balls.
When's the first test squad announced? I have to say after a poor winter and the recent changes that have taken place, I would like to see some players improve and some be back to their normal style of play. I'm surprised Cook even struggled to make any runs (again!) At least some of the newer player will have to take their chances to stake a claim in the test squad.
Sangakkara made 159 in his last innings for Durham before he links up with the rest of the Sri Lankan squad ahead of the 1st ODI on Thursday May 22nd at The Oval.

I thought he was unfortunate with some of his dismissals in Australia and is deserving of another chance.
Sri Lanka beat Kent by 128 runs, scoring 301-7 from 50 overs & bowling Kent out for 173.
Sri Lanka thrashed Sussex by 10 wickets in a T20 match at Hove today.Sussex were restricted to 126-7 & chased it down in 9.1 overs.
Vithanage 52 from 24 balls with four 4s & five 6s
Dilshan 73 from 31 balls with 16 boundaries.
It shows that we will have a tough summer ahead whatever happens. the Sri Lankans are showing that they are ready for anything even if they are rebuilding too. At lot depends on how spot on our team selections are for each game. But definitely I would say that England without KP is a very different team.
