GK: Gordon Banks, David Seaman, Peter Shilton
D: Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Terry Cooper, Roy McFarland, Bobby Moore, Stuart Pearce, John Terry, Billy Wright
MF: Colin Bell, Bobby Charlton, Duncan Edwards (a 'punt' from well before my time; could slot into defence, but apparently, by those who saw/played with him, more of a versatile, Rolls Royce version of Steven Gerrard), Paul Gascoigne, Paul Ince, Matt Le Tissier (penalties!!), Bryan Robson, Paul Scholes
F: Jimmy Greaves, Nat Lofthouse, Alan Shearer, Teddy Sheringham ('license to roam,' playing 'behind' any of the other three)
Edit: Bit light on RB options; maybe stick Phil Neal or master-jack-of-all-trades Paul Madeley in for McFarland? No place for Stan Matthews or Tom Finney; wow!

An all-time England team would have a very good chance against an all-time Brazil team (Brazil '70 managed a narrow 1-0 against a better England team that the one that won the WC in '66 - and that was in heat and at an altitude better suiting the Brazilians). An all-time German or Netherlands team would stand an even better chance.
Thanks to all those who have picked squads and made this a good thread. It's motivated me to join in.
