What's Platini doing now with this new competition? Having said that its introduction has been unanimously agreed by all 54 UEFA members and it will no doubt please many of those who don't like international friendlies.
The exact format of the Nations League has yet to be finalised so I'll wait to hear exactly how this is going to work. One thing I will say though is that I've never been a fan of international friendlies.
This is a truly bizarre development. This new league is going to be used to decide 4 of the 24 places at the European Championship finals and it's guaranteed that 1 of the bottom 16 countries in the UEFA rankings will qualify. eek
i think its a good idea dont think the clubs will like it because it will mean every international will mean something so they wont be able to pull players out or say to managers only play a certain player for 1 half or 60 mins
I think it should be used in such a way so that National squads can improve their young talent rather than use recognised faces in some of the games.

I would agree that clubs won't like it but maybe it could be a good stepping stone for young talent to break into their relative National squads.
