SOCHI 2014- WINTER OLYMPICS

The countdown to the 22nd Winter Olympic Games is well and truly underway, with just a few days to until Sochi 2014......

Athletes will be going for gold in 98 events, across 15 sports at 10 different venues....

Citius, Altius, Fortius..... 'Faster, Higher, Stronger'

Magnificent Stadia ...... Stunning Architecture....

And let's not forget some of the stunning babes that will be competing ...... Bring on the Lycra.....

On the womens side Team GB has a great chance. Eve Muirhead and her Scotland teammates are reigning World Champions but will represent Team GB in Sochi.

Hope we get some grudge matches in the Ice Hockey. Russia play the USA and Czech Rep play Sweden in the Men's preliminary round but Russia v the Czechs will be a war if they meet.

Then there's Skiing, Bobsleigh etc etc

The ice hockey will be epic !!

Fact.... Great Britain have more gold medals than Russia..... A gold medal in 1936....

Russia have never won gold ! but Of course Soviet Union have won 7 golds !!

Canada are the bookies favourites this time round closely followed by the Russians....

the winter Olympics are now underway with the snowboard slopestyle qualification round. since im a massive ice hockey fan, ill mainly be watching the ice hockey, both men and women
