McKenzie has Gordon was a good choice. I hope this show goes up to where wayne comes back and becomes batman has there are plenty of stories to tell about gotham during the disappearance of bruce wayne. they have nailed gotham and I wonder if they are saving the riddler and joker for future seasons?

the riddler was in the first episode of gotham, did you not spot him?

You may see the first "Red Hood" in the show, if anything. Him actually becoming the Joker... that would be a while off, and the best-known version of that incident usually has Batman present at the scene, so that's a long way away.

The Joker was either in the first or the 2nd episode

if u not watched it from the US then 2nd will be monday
Really enjoyed this the other night. There are so many shows and films about Batman and his enemies as they are now, that I thought it was a great idea to go back to the early days of Gotham and it's people. A lot of those villains have origins that many may not be familiar with so this bridges loads of gaps. It's everything Gotham should be - dark, brutal, dirty, crime ridden and the perfect setting for it's future Dark Knight and all those connected with him to develop.

Rammy's right - the Riddler has already appeared. I thought it was a very clever occupation that he held in those early days, according to this show and the Joker will appear eventually. You can't have a Gotham City without a Joker - but remember, he isn't the Joker yet. That's the idea of the show - to introduce it's inhabitants and I think it will be great to see how it develops in the coming weeks.

The Joker hasn't been in it yet, the producers of the show have said that there maybe a chance that he might one day appear in it but in the mean time they've been putting red herrings in certain ep's to make you think its possibly him.

The Joker doesn't have a true origin story he started as serial killer, other the years it kept changing like him being the criminal known as The Red Hood, Then another story had him as failed comedian committing crime as the Red Hood to support his pregnant wife or that he fell in vat of chemicals which messed up his face and turned him insane. Over the years his origin would keep from serial killer to other origins now his commonly known as serial.
They play upon this joke about not knowing his true origin in the Dark Knight film where the Joker keeps telling a different stories as to why his got his scares, its on the blu ray of film on one of the documentaries.

Thought he was definately in EP2 thought it was his meeting with the young penguin that may have sent him mad didnt know what happened to him and he hasnt appeared in the last 2 episodes so dont know what happened to guy who i thought was him
Just watching episode 2 and saw this as the camera panned over the city a few minutes in, right after the homeless kid gets thrown through the window. Now maybe it's my imagination but that smoke looks rather like a bat signal! It could just be a coincidence but maybe not, who knows.
Please excuse the bad picture quality.

I'm surprised by how good this is, seeing as channel 5 picked it up.

To clear up any confusion, Edward Nygma is working at the GCPD (possibly in forensics) and featured in both episode 1 and 2.
