I did not even mean it in bad way like taking the piss, I just meant it seriously as that is what Cardiff and Swansea do, And as for Porto winning it every year is not true, we will not win it this year, and only just won it last year, and the Portuguese league is a lot more competitive than the Scottish league, If for example Celtic went into the Portuguese league they would not do as well as you would think, they would finish in top 5 - 6 I am sure but it would be more challenging than the Scottish league for them... Porto, Benfica, Sporting, Braga then teams like Guimaraes, Estoril, that you might not have heard of but are still good technical teams.
my team luton town have more fans than some Scottish and Portuguese top flight teams and we are in non league, however you can only beat what is put in front of you and if you are a celtic or porto fan you rarely see your team lose, except when they are playing in the champions league
I understand that but my point was not meant to be a my team is better argument or anything like this, I was just asking for an opinion as there is no competition at all for Celtic in that league.
rangers will be back soon, i bet celtic fans have missed them deep down

but just because the standard of teams might not be as high as other leagues doesn't diminish the fact that they (celtic) are the champions of their domestic league. so to answer your question it still means alot.

as far as celtic playing in the Portuguese league we'd be challenging for the title soon enough!
and to be fair Aberdeen fans would suggest they have given celtic some problems. Smile
