It's confirmed that US performer Cameron Bay has tested positive for HIV.
The industry has shut down while fellow performers she has worked with are tested, but indications so far are that no other performers have been infected.

It always amuses me when they try and claim it is STD free becasue perfromers are regularly tested, it takes months of testing and retesting before you have the all clear.

You could do a scene one day, go with your partner who's diped their wick in a wrong un, unknowingly get HIV, do another scene a couple of weeks later apparently fine and been tested as such and then find out you have it.

It's a nonsese to claim the industry is safe.
You could equally go out on the piss tonight, pull a Girl in a club and be just as likely to get infected. I'm guessing intravenous drug use plays a part in this case at some point..
I think all performers who perform condom free are at risk of Infection but considering how many films, scenes and partners in any given year for the average porn star it appears the infection rate is lower than going out in town on a Saturday night and pulling a cute one and not knowing anything about her!!!
Who in there right mind would just 'pull' a stranger and have unprotected sex? If she or he, just droped them that night you can bet they would have dubious morals and you can be assured you won't be the first.

But then when I was a young man the A.I.D.S hysteria was in full force, we where all going to die at a glance in the direction of an infected person, I suppose the message hammered home.
