Okay Fernandez, who is this Abner guy City are linked with, left back for Coritiba? Do you know anything about him? Seems he's linked with Porto (also Benfica) as well so has all the ingredients of a player you would know something about!
Benfica were link with him for a while now and i think they offer 5 or 6m euro for him but city are now in talks and becoming favourites to sign him.
He has play for under 17 national team earlier this year, Personally I think he is not ready to move to English football yet and for him Benfica is best for him to develop.
In Brasil people say he can be similar to Roberto Carlos but he will need to be develop right, If he go to city I think right now will be no good for his career. Also work permit and thing could be issue.
Yeah, i don't think he will be anywhere near the first team if he joins. Sounds like they will put him into the under-21's or under-20s or something to develop.
Work permit will be a nightmare too as you say. We would have to appeal for a work permit and classify him as a 'special talent' and i'm not sure if he would be good enough to qualify for that would he. Probably get rejected.
