The FA have already said that England could. Having staged the Olympics in 2012, they say that England has everything it needs to stage the World Cup in 2014, even at short notice, and could do it easily.

By last minute I was thinking a few months notice at most. So would this just be in London like the Olympics? If so then it won't be a problem as there are all the best transport routes already in place and they can close certain roads again to drive the top brass around I suppose. There are loads of hotels with empty rooms too so guess accommodating fans, teams, officials etc is already dealt with too. I wonder how the FA is going to pay for all of this though? Of course the real bonus would be England would qualify as host.
The tournament willbe still in Brasil, the President and government will resolve things I am sure.
If Brazil were to win this, what effect would this have on their ranking position?
I think it should put them above croatia atleast Wink
Well it would be nice to see them just outside the top ten by the time the World Cup starts so that would be a good boost to the squad I suppose knowing a win in the World Cup could put them back into the Top 10 again.

I think it would be good that if England could step in (should things not improve in Brazil), then I think it should be run as a joint host tournament between England & Brazil - or if Brazil were still hosts - but the tournament was being staged in an another country for safety reasons.
Pass, move, pass, move, mesmerize, dodge, weave, pass, move, dribble dribble, run, dodge, weave, Goal.
Spain are sending me dizzy already Shy.
Having said that Nigeria have had a few decent breaks forward.
They just need to get some possession for a decent length of time.
Hmmmmm - good luck with that one laugh.

Edit: Nigeria are doing ok now even though they are a goal down.
Some attempts at goal coming in. Need to score though.
