Having spoken with Chipdude and shown him a few of the graphics I've made (piss poor graphics I might add) on photoshop, I was just wondering if we had any other "graphic designers" on the forum? Doesn't matter if you do it just for fun, or professionally (I do it just for fun, you'll be able to tell when you see how bad mine are Tongue) Just thought it'd be nice to see what some people have made.

Anyone?
Come on then DjM - don't be shy, get the ball rolling - lets see one or two of yours....
Er, alright I spose. Haven't really made many lately, but this is my latest piece of (crap) work.

That, along with more or less any heart shaped avatar you see on this forum was made by me Smile
good idea for a thread, i'm looking to start doing stuff like this, company logos etc for websites i'm doing, i usually get people to do it for me.

what programs do you guys use to do it? where can i get it?(free if poss)
Adobe Photoshop is the best program to use.

However, for my own safety (I don't wanna be sued) I'm not even going to go into how to get it for free...(because I "don't" know Smile)

Anyone else here make graphics though?

replace cena with a wrestler and you have a super poster there
I errrr, dabble Wink
I'm not so much a graphic designer though as more photo touch-up.
IMHO when it comes to 2D bitmap graphics only two applications worth talking about if you want the best.

When you already have raw content from photos and other sources nothing comes close to Photoshop. However for mere mortals who don't need that kind of power (I frequently can be working on files of several hundreds of MB in size to give you an idea of why I use it) then there are various alternatives. Corel Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Google Picasa and GIMP all have their own followers

For creating images completely from scratch whilst Photoshop and the others do a fine job that isn't their main strength. One program stands alone here and I can't really think of anything that compares to it, Corel Painter
Going right back into the vault for this one. One of the few I've made in my time that I actually liked...

GIMP is pretty much a freeware version of Photoshop.

A lot of people I know have started using GIMP, mainly because it's free.
