To quote Arnie, they'll be back.
1) The series is to be renewed
2) It's made by Americans and except for GoT they don't really understand change of direction
3) It's made by Americans so they will want to make as many bucks as possible, even if it means making a show predictable, unless it's GoT
4) It's made by Americans so it will be series 4 or 5 before it gets cancelled due to its 3am time slot.

I already posted a few weeks ago that Joss Whedon stated it will tie in with the Age of Ultron. He made no mention of Guardians of the Galaxy. Not sure but I don't think he is involved in that. Seems aimed more at kids with cuddly looking animals in it.

see what your on about with guardians of the galaxy, but wouldn't surprise me if agents of shield does tie in to guardians
