The Untouchables - "That's the Chicago way.."

Jimmy Malone (Sean Connery) gives Elliot Ness (Kevin Costner) a few memorable pointers about survival in Chicago... enjoy Smile

Chopper
Chopper giving Keithy George the good news.

Probably the most badass the Decepticons ever were:

It never occurred to me at the time, but good lord, "Transformers: The Movie" was full of death and carnage. Yeah, it was just to write the old toy out and introduce the new ones Hasbro wanted to flog, but a hell of way to do it. And not long after that, came this:

The epic Optimus Prime/Megatron punch-up. Again violent by 80s cartoon standards. When I had this on tape back in the 80's somethings I never noticed. Like at 3:00 - Megatron is BLEEDING ENERGON.

Then followed the scene that traumatised an entire generation of kids - The Death of Optimus Prime:

There's so many other things I could pick out of that movie, the whole "Battle of Autobot City" (which the abvoe clips are from), Spike swearing ("Oh shit! What are we gonna do now?"), Megatron's rebirth into Galvatron, returning to Cybertron to kill Starscream (makes you wonder why he didn't do it sooner). COMPLETE LACK OF MEGAN FOX AND SHIA LEBOEUF (Both worse than Wheelie), and the soundtrack. Dear God, the soundtrack.

Greatest toy commercial ever.
Ghostbusters - "He slimed me..."

Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) has a close encounter with the pesky green ghost Slimer in the team's first major assignment... Smile

Barbarella

this scene is from the gloriously camp sixties film named above. Barbarella (Jane Fonda) is rescued by Dildano (David Hemmings) and they share an intimate moment.... space style.... enjoy Smile

Pete Postlethwaite Tribute - Brassed Off

I have posted these two scenes from Brassed Off as a tribute to Pete Postlethwaite who sadly passed away today.

The first one is the final performance from the orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. The second scene is the very emotional speech that Danny (Postlethwaite) makes after the performance. There's an element of sadness, but also some dark, ironic humour, which Postlethwaite excelled at. Enjoy.

William Tell Overture

Danny's speech

An all time favourite of mine....Big Grin

Both scenes from kick ass made me say "holy shit" out loud which doesn't happen very often.
